Bui Dung
Thank God because I have the opportunity to testify about God, about the wonderful things God has given me when I have Him in my life.
My name is Bui Van Dung, born in 1999. I come from Hoa Binh city. I was born into a family with two brothers and I am the youngest child. My family follows Buddhism and worships ancestors. Since my father passed away in 2011, there’s just three of us. Life was tough, so my mother and my brother had to work far away from home. I was alone at home, so I had relationships with bad friends and just let my life took its course. Before knowing God, my life was not guaranteed, everything I did was unsuccessful.
In 2022, I went to Hanoi and meet brother Minh Toan and brother Van Luyen. They two invited me to church. On June 2022, I went to the church with the thought at that time I was just coming to see what believers do. When I attended the service, I listened to the songs, listened to the pastor's sharing and was welcomed by the brothers and sisters here. I felt the atmosphere of a family. However, at that time I was still not open enough to accept God. After a few more visits, I heard more brothers and sisters in the Church testify about how their lives had been transformed by receiving God, and when I read the Bible, I saw that God is truly real. Before, I was afraid that when I died I would go to hell, so I decided to believe in God who came to this world, He died for my sins and He rose again in glory so that when I believe in Him, I receive eternal life and not death in hell. It was November 20, 2022, the Sunday that I opened my heart to receive Christ.
Now I feel very at peace when I call God my Father. Thank God for giving me a spiritual family. I have been able to attend warm meals with my brothers and sisters and I felt like I belonged to this loving family. When I have God, I entrust my life to Him, I firmly believe in the plan that God has given me. I have received real love and real peace from God even though life is still tough. Above all, I believe that I have received eternal life as His Word promised me: "For God so loved the world that He gave His only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.” Walking with God day by day, He has also changed me a lot. God helps me to be more open to people, God helps me to think more about my family and everyone. I also want to serve God because I know God loves me so much and thank God, earlier this year I began to spend more time serving in ministry in the church. Thank God because He also blesses my work and finance better every day and especially when I am faithful in tithing, I shall not in want. I learned how to pray and rely on God to experience His faithfulness. Moreover, I also boldly shared my faith with my mother and my brother. God is so good!
With this short testimony, I hope those who have believed in God will keep their faith and those of you who are still learning about God will open your hearts to receive Him in order to have a blessed and eternal life. God bless you!
