Cheramie Navarra Baal

I am Cheramie Navarra Baal, 29 years old, married and currently living in Pilar. Bohol. I was born and raised in Ozamiz City. I am the eldest of 4 siblings.

Before I met Jesus Christ, I was one of the street children in our area. I look after customers' cars, and I also sell candles at the church. I was also a rebellious child and always rebelled against my parents.

I was twelve years old and in the sixth grade in elementary school, when I met and knew the Lord Jesus Christ through my best friend Jenny. She invited me and brought me to The Glory of Zion fellowship church. I joined their feeding program where I always heard stories from the bible about Christ's Salvation. That was the year 2006. At that time,I experienced God's love. So I believed in Him and served Him.

Since I followed Him, I became a helper in our church at a young age. I served as a tambourine dancer, worship leader and children's Sunday School teacher, along with my friend Jenny.

In the year 2008, they gave me the opportunity to live in a church which is also a multipurpose center. We slept on the second floor of the center while they held the fellowship on the first floor of the center. During this period, I was more shaped and taught a deep recognition of God. Not only that, but teach proper behavior and socializing with others.

My parents are just poor. But I didn't think that, because of my obedience to God other than what I used in His work, God even allowed me to be one of the scholar students of the Asialink School Program last 2009. I was 14 years old that year. God also allowed me to graduate from college and get a Bachelor of Social Worker course in 2015. God has been very good in my life, and not only to me but also to my brother and sister, who also enrolled in the Asialink School Program.

Now I am a full-fledged Professional Social Worker and currently working in the Department of Social Welfare and development office here in Pilar Bohol. Even though I'm in another place, I'm still thankful to God for continuing to use me in His holy work. And my secular work never interfered with His ministry. Using everything I learned while I was living at the Glory of Zion multipurpose, now I am also helping in our church here in Pilar Bohol. Whatever I did there in Zion is the same here in the pillar's church. Other than that, if before I was the one being taught, now I am the one helping to teach the young people.

In Pilar I also found my Husband whom I can say is a gift from God. Because of waiting for the right time, God gave me a kind husband and with a holy fear of Him. My husband is also with me in serving and sharing the salvation of Christ with others.

I can truly say that it was a great privilege when I met our Lord and Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, since then, I am grateful until now. And I am always with Him and His Holy Spirit. I received salvation from Him. I finished school, helped my parents and siblings. Most of all, He preserved my womanhood until He gave it to my dear husband.

So I encourage everyone who read my testimony. Trust in God and accept His gift of Salvation through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ and you will have the eternal life promised by God. Trust in His plan and follow. To have an abundant life, even with trials, but always succeeding with God's help.  And as the word of God says in the book of:

Jeremiah 29:11 New International Version

11 For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.

May our Loving God Bless You! Thank you so much!
