Do Thi Nhung
My name is Do Thi Nhung, born in 1958. I believed in God as my Savior on July 30, 2006. Thank God for the journey with the Lord, He has given so many blessings to me, my family. I receive love, peace, healing... from God. If I had to list it, I would not be able to list all the blessings of God. In this testimony, I want to glorify the Lord through His healing power in my life.
When I was 32 years old, in 1990, I had ovarian cancer. There weren't many people with cancer back then, so when I got sick, everyone thought I was going to die. The doctor said I could live another month. Then I had surgery, and chemotherapy. And I'm still alive. Now, my ovarian cancer cells are gone. At that time, I thought I was so lucky because the people who were treated at the same time as me all passed away. The doctor saw that I was still going for a check-up and was very happy. However, when I came to know God and trust Him, I knew that God had chosen me from my mother's womb. He knows me even when I don't know Him. And I understood that I was healed not by luck but by God's power to heal. Continuing to walk in the Lord, I still face challenges in my life. I had a kidney stone once and the doctor ordered surgery. Two days before the scheduled operation, pastor and church members visited and prayed for me. We stood in the hospital yard praying together. The next morning, the doctor examined me and told me to go home because there was no problem anymore for surgery. It is a wonderful miracle of God. When I kept looking to the Lord, praying, and having my brothers and sisters of the same faith intercede, the Lord healed me. Thank God for keeping me healthy.
Time went by, at the end of 2021, I went to the doctor and discovered that I had liver cancer. I had to do transcatheter arterial chemoembolization to stop the cancer cells from growing. Due to the Covid epidemic at that time, I could not have the tumor removed immediately. In January 2022, I had a liver resection and the tumor was removed. After surgery, I continued the treatment and the results were more positive. By December 2022, I was once again suffering from thyroid cancer. I continued to have surgery and removal of the tumor and then radioiodine. After 6 months of re-testing, my thyroid cancer cell result was negative. Up to now, I still go for a monthly check-up for liver cancer, thank God the results are better. Even more amazingly, during the period of medical treatment, in June 2023, I was still able to accompany the church on a six-day, five-night summer trip. We traveled by car. Traveling that much but God's strength filled me, so that I was not tired or sick during and after the trip.
Looking back in a year with two cancers but I still weigh 70kg and I still have peace. It is wonderful to follow God, experience many miracles in God, He is so good and faithful. I believe that when we keep trusting in the Lord, He is faithful to grant all we desire in His best will. Through many trials, I just kept clinging to God. I received the news that I had cancer but I was not afraid, I calmly received the news and faced it. The doctor said that with my disease, I can only try for a few years. I rest in peace in Him. The doctor said that he has never seen a case where three cancers in three different organs like me can still see me as healthy as this. People tell me it's luck, but I know it's my Lord who works in me, He heals and saves me. Every day I continue to proclaim God's healing on me. By His stripes I was healed.
I want to encourage you that no matter what your situation is, keep trusting the Lord. He is always with you. Hallelujah. Glory to God!
