Incredible miracles in Nagaland
Seksim comes from Nagaland in North-Eastern India, but he prefers to talk about Nagalim as an area with a specific group of people rather than a specific place. The Naga-people has had two great revivals the last couple of decades. One started around 1850, while the second began in the 1960’s and went on until the 80’s. This was a revival that affected the whole Naga-people, and due to statistics, one assumes that in year 2000 86,5% of the group with a population of almost 900 000 were Christians. As a result of this, the community was spared of a lot of the struggles many communities face, and the Naga-people were truly blessed.
Back to our talk with Seksim. He has been serving the Lord for more than 30 years, and he has experienced unbelievable things with Christ. Here are some of the miracles he has witnessed.
Gods miracles with the individuals:
Seksim and some of his co-workers came to a village where two people were very sick. One of them was in a coma, and the other one could only blink his eyes to respond to their questions. Both of them were lying in the same room. The evangelists started to pray for the sick. After about 30 minutes, the power of the Lord came and went straight through the body of one of them. He stood up and immediately got his strength back. The other one, who was in a coma, was still lying unmoveable. They kept on praying, and after 36 hours he suddenly opened his eyes and rose up from the bed, completely healed.
God’s miracle with the crowds:
Once Seksim was asked to come to a camp where 450 soldiers were sick. The leaders had tried to get help from witchdoctors, but with no result. They had also tried to summon other Christians to help, but those Christians had not wanted to go there because of the witchdoctors in that area. When Seskim came, he gathered everyone to a meeting. One week earlier he had had a dream where God showed him how to solve this. The night before he went to the meeting, Seksim stayed awake all night, praying. While all the soldiers were gathered, he prayed for about half an hour. After that he preached a short sermon, before he challenged them to receive Jesus as their saviour. Everyone said yes. After this, he asked everyone to raise one hand up high. While they did so, Seksim prayed for all the sick, and after that he instructed all of them to lay their hands on the sick part of their bodies. He asked a simple prayer that the glory of the Lord would be revealed, and he ended the meeting. They agreed to have a new meeting the next week. When he came back and met the group again, everyone was healed except seven of them. This last seven had not been to the meeting the week before, but Seksim prayed for them also, and they got immediately healed as well.
God’s creating miracles.
One last story that Seksim told us was from ten years back. A Christian sister had a vision one day, where the Lord showed her a leaf from a tree that should bring healing to people. She found this strange, but then she came to think of the tree of life in the book of revelation, where the leaves brought healing to the people. This lady went with Seksim to a village where they were met by a group of lepers begging for help. Immediately she was reminded about the vision, and she went to look for the leaves that the Lord had shown her. She picked some of those leaves, and made a dough which she rubbed on the bodies of the lepers. The other ones on the team asked if she wanted gloves, but she said that it was unnecessary; it was not a part of the vision that the Lord had shown her. Not only did the leprosy leave, but God made fingers and nails grow back out in few days. Many lame people were healed, among them a lady called Kaita that had been disabled for 21 years. The evangelists used the opportunity to preach the gospel, and they baptized more than 700 people in one day. A man was locked up in a cage because he was extremely dangerous and out of control. When they talked to him about Jesus he confessed his sins and received the Saviour. After some days they met him again. He was now well dressed, and in control of himself. All because of the name of Jesus Christ.
