Just in the right time
Pastor Silas from India tells us: “It was in the month of February, we went out to evangelise. We found a man living out in a big open field in a small hut. The hut was about two square meters and one meter tall. This man had been living here for the last three years, and it looked like he was suffering from leprosy. He also had a bleeding wound at his chest, a deep wound where some water came out. He was all naked and he made a bed out of stone bricks. He cooked his food outside of the hut. Sometimes, some people came and gave him a little food, and sometimes he went into town to buy a little, but now he was so ill that he was totally dependent on someone’s help.

We sat down and told this man about God’s love, we shared the gospel with him, and he received Jesus as his Saviour immediately. We also gave him some food and clothes. We considered bringing him to our care center for elders, but his condition was too bad, and it would be a problem for the other elders there. We decided that we should bring him to the doctor instead. We brought him in a car to the clinic. Unfortunately, the doctor was not available. Then a nurse said that he wasn’t suffering from leprosy, but from some other diseases. They asked us if we could come back another day when the doctor was available.
We brought him back to his hut and made a plan to build a small house for him. The next morning, some of our friends went out to give him some food. They told us that he already was dead. We found him in the last minute and the Lord found him before he passed away.”
