LOVE ON THE MOUNTAIN TOP!
Daragoan is not exactly the center of the world. It’s not a place you choose to walk to, either. But Jesus made his way there. And so did a team from AsiaLink. Firstly we’ll let pastor Premal Sherpa share about how the gospel found its way to this very remote hillside village in northern India. After that, enjoy some glimpses from our visit there.
“My name is Premal Sherpa and I come from Langurdang in Darjeeling. I have been serving the Lord here in the area since July 18, 2006, in a village called Daragoan. I would like to share with you how we started this community. In Daragoan, there was no one serving God or having fellowship with God, so He called me to serve Him and His people there.
From the beginning, God gave me three families, and I continued to cultivate the fellowship with them. In the past 17 years, God has also given us two more church plantings. I am also the pastor of those two churches. In this area, there were no Christians, only Buddhists and various tribal people. While serving the Lord in this village, I have had the opportunity to share the gospel with people from different tribes. God has given us many families and many souls. Today, we have over 40 families that God has entrusted to us. One of the newly planted churches is called Relling, and there are many families there. The other church is located in a place called Bangey Bazar. I serve God in these three congregations.

Not long ago, we organized a seminar in my hometown, on a Thursday, when Øystein Åsen from AsiaLink came and taught. After the seminar, people went home, but at the Sunday service a few days later, we heard testimonies from our members that they were very blessed by the message of Father’s love. There are many places where people experience a lack of love, even in the church, as well as in the family. This word love has withered away from the lives of many people. The only thing I now hear people in my congregation say is that they are truly blessed by the message they received, a message that we really need and have been looking for. People are very encouraged and inspired. As pastors responsible for many people and different congregations, we face many difficulties and many ups and downs. When we had the opportunity to hear this message, we were truly blessed. We would like to thank you, Øystein, and your team with all our hearts. Thank you very much!»

By the Pastor Premal's testimony, we find something amazing. That is, the Lord Jesus can reach everyone, no matter where they are.
What we should remember from this is that everyone, no matter how far away they live, needs the Father's love. They also deserve to feel it.
This love is the greatest gift God has given to mankind. That love is not far away. It is not difficult to find either. It is waiting for you right now, friend. I encourage and urge you to remember that you can receive that love from Father God—it is for you!
May God bless you all."
