Vietnam-war survivor met Jesus

My name is Phuc, and I was born in Hanoi in 1951. I fought in the Vietnam war for three and a half years. During the war I was exposed to Agent Orange, a poison that were used by the Americans during the Vietnam war in 1972. When the war ended in 1975 I moved back to Hanoi to live and work there. I have four children whom all are in good health. Before I got to know Christ I rarely ever visited the temples. All I wanted was to do good stuff and live a good life. My neighbor, Viet, is a Christian. She told me about Jesus, but I did not understand much of it. One day though, I went to her door and asked her how I can learn more about Jesus, and come to a church. She brought me to the Agape-church, and right after the service was done I opened my heart and received Christ as my Lord and savior.

I go to church every Sunday, and I feel so blessed, loved and taken care of by my Christian brothers and sisters there. They make me feel at home. Even greater than that is the fact that I have peace in my heart. My wife and my children, and even some of my neighbors are trying to prevent me from following Christ when I share with them about my faith. My wife says a lot of mean and bad things to me, but I keep my faith strong and I go regularly to church- I have learnt to pray to God, and I am believing Him for a healing miracle. All I want is to serve him as much as I possibly can.
