Wheels of Witness
Kushi grew up in a Hindu family, but about ten years ago he accepted the gospel. Since then he has been an active and bold witness for Christ in his local area. He is currently the only one in his family who follows the Lord, but the pastor in the church testifies that he is an unusually faithful and persistent worker.
Kushi was born with a leg that does not work, and he therefore cannot walk. His solution has been a strong crutch that he has used as a replacement for one leg, and in addition a specially made tricycle that he has been able to ride with his arms. Now, however, a new chapter has begun. On Tuesday, March 25 of this year of 2025, member from the KingLove team went to Kailali in Western Nepal, where we presented Kushi with a brand new tuktuk, specially adapted to his physical situation.

It was an experience to see how happy Kushi was for this gift. It was equally beautiful to see how everyone else in the congregation rejoiced with him. We had a Bible seminar there in Kailali the day after the handover, so many people got to see Kushi in the driver's seat of the new vehicle. We could tell how excited everyone was for him – wonderful!
This tuk-tuk runs on electricity, and it has room for quite a few passengers – especially with the small requirements for spaciousness and comfort that apply in Nepal. I think Kushi can easily take seven or eight passengers with him if necessary. We have already received reports that he uses his new vehicle to bring people to church who otherwise have difficulty getting there.

In Nepal, you don't need a license to operate a passenger transport service. The tuk-tuk therefore also gives Kushi the opportunity to drive a taxi and earn some income for himself and his family. Besides: What else do you do during a taxi ride, other than chat? And what else does Kushi talk about other than Jesus – when the opportunity arises?
This is an aid that serves many functions, in addition to relieving Kushi's body. I tried his tricycle myself while I was there, and I can tell you that it was tiring enough to "pedal" with your hands. Now the tuk-tuk has been purchased and fully financed - thanks to someone who felt the call to contribute. Love on three wheels! Thank you very much!
